Chapter 2: Chapter 1: First Day

Ah, I should have told God that I wanted to perform name change, shouldn't I. My parents named me after the main character in their favourite manga. My father's last name was Yeager, and he claimed that by naming me Eren Yeager, he was leading others to treasure he can't possess. If you like this name so much, why don't you use this name for yourself? But I digress.

It looks like the average amount of mana in this world is 10, and I had a hundred times of that amount. I wonder how much I can accomplish with this amount of mana.

I stretched out my right hand to my side and envisioned a weapon. A white light began emitting from my hand, forming into the shape of a gun, mainly because it was a gun.

A Glock 17, a pistol, appeared in my hand. Hehe, this was my goal the whole time, to use firearms in a world of sword and magic. With both hands, I aimed the gun at a fruit hanging from a tree, around ten meters (thirty-three feet) away.

{Bang!}

The fruit almost instantly burst into chunks of blue flesh and juice.

Thank God. Internally, I was praying that I didn't create a model gun or something since I wasn't completely sure how a gun functions. I checked my status again.

Mp: 600/1000

Just creating a pistol cost me 400 mana. If I did not have Greater Mana Pool, I'm afraid that it would take a long time before I could create guns. As a test, I created a hunting knife, and it costs me only 10 mana. Now, on to the only ability I haven't talked about. Although overshadowed, Weapon Expert is also great. Despite never holding a gun even once, I could accurately hit a small target the size of an apple over 10 meters away. Just as I wanted to continue my test, I heard the sound of leaves rustling behind me.

Immediately, I aimed my gun at the bush eight meters (26 feet) away, waiting for whatever was inside the bush to appear. A boar, about half a meter in height and a meter in length (one and a half feet in height and three feet in length), slowly strolled out of the bush, eyeing my every movement as it came to a halt. Its front hoof began scratching the ground as it snorted aggressively, causing vapours to come out of its nostrils. It must have been attracted by my gun shots, although I wasn't sure why it came towards me instead of running away.

Do... Do I have to kill it? I knew that I would eventually have to kill after coming to a fantasy world, but I didn't expect that it would be this soon.

No, damn it, I am hesitating again. I steeled my resolves as I aimed my gun at the Boar's head. Even though I am not an expert in boars, I knew that it was going to charge at me from its action. Sure enough, it began rushing towards me, but I was prepared and responded in kind.

{Bang! Bang! Bang!}

Moving for no more than a meter, the boar slid to a stop as three bullet holes appeared on its head. I was preparing to jump out of the way if the bullets weren't effective, but it seems that my worries were unfounded. The boar spasmed for a while before ceasing all movement. However, I decided to be careful and fire two more shots, one into each of its two front legs. This is a new world to me and who knows if it was a boar and not some other monster. Thus, I decided to aim at its legs to cripple its mobility even if it was still alive.

I checked my surrounding before approaching the boar cautiously. Pulling out my hunting knife, I used my knowledge from Weapon Expert to carve the boar up. I know nothing about preservation, so I took just enough meat for the day and got out of there before the scent of blood attracts some other beast.

Weapon is a term used to describe something that can inflict damage on, or in other words attack, something else. I think everyone would agree that arson is a form of attack, and what is the weapon used to commit such an attack?

{Weapon Creation}

My hand flashed with a white light, and a lighter soon appeared in it. It seems that as long as I can convince myself that something is a weapon, I can create it. I set the pile of wood I had gathered ablaze and began roasting some meat while thinking about my day. After I killed the boar, I was ambushed by a group of spear wielding goblins, but I killed them all and leveled up once. I looked at my status.

My maximum Hp increased by ten while my maximum Mp increased by a thousand. I also discovered that I recover 1% of my Mp per minute. However, let's not focus on that right now. While I was able to sustain my need for water by drinking river water, I hadn't eaten anything for a few hours despite the strenuous activities and I'm currently starving. Soon, the meat looked ready, and I tested it for poison by taking a small bite. Although I had fed some of the raw meat to a rat-like animal, I still wasn't sure if the meat was safe for human consumption.

Tough and smelly. That was my first impression of the meat despite starving. After swallowing, I controlled myself from eating the rest of the meat and waited.

Around half an hour later, after seeing no symptoms of poison occurring, I finished up the rest of the meat.

Finally, it's time to rest. I climbed onto a large tree and set up an alert system, consisting of steel wire, produced from garotte, and bullets, which will clink against each other when the wire is shaken, alerting me in case of anything attempting to climb the tree. I looked at the night sky that was full of stars. Perhaps, one of the stars out there is my previous planet. While thinking of the future, I eventually dozed off.
