Chapter 10 Part 1: Beelzebub

-Thump, Thump

I can hear it slowly stepping on the grass. My head was pounding from the excessive amount of information. However, I can’t really block it. Kwon Seong-Min followed my lead and grabbed his sword tightly.

The guy showed up, after awhile.

kurrrrr…

It has shiny black hair. A muscular body with long legs, and on top of that… Were three heads. The head in the middle were staring at us intently. The left head was panting with it’s long tongue out. The right head was chewing on a piece of meat as if it’s not fazed but the situation.

There’s no time to hesitate.

When I closed and opened my eyes, I switched position to the top of Cerberus’ head. I grabbed the ring Karambit and made a quick slash at it, but Cerberus was quite formidable…

–Wait, human…

The Middle head opened its mouth. It was right after he lightly dodged my attack.

“I-It can speak…”

Kwon Seong-Min muttered in surprise.

But it doesn’t matter..

“Cerberus can speak?”

Cerberus is a very difficult monster to deal with. However, there was definitely a way to kill it. This guys’ weakness is quite obvious. It has three heads which means there are as many as three extra fatal points!

I planned to blind it by throwing some soil to its eyes, then poke its body with my Karambit

-Fight? No you… I am… Mission…

Chow!

Piles of dirt have been scattered in the air.

Keng!

The left head, which had been sticking its tongue for a long time, made a loud howl after my sudden soil baptism

Now’s my chance!

Poof!

I swung the karambit without hesitation.

Kwadeuk.

The right head blocked the attack. It made a low growl, baring its sharp teeth. While the left bead was still struggling through the itch. It was coughing and sneezing not caring about its surroundings.

-Human…You.. Talk…

The middle head maintained its composure while staring at me intently.

-I.. In-charge… Mission.

“You have something to tell me?”

The middle head nodded.

It has something to tell me? Me?

What?

I didn’t notice it at all. A D-Class monster was being used as a messenger to relay a message to me? At its level, There was a high possiblity that it was related to the Boss of this Gate. And if its the Boss of this gate… As far as I know…

“Who?”

–My master…

“……Beelzebub?”

-Indeed.

Damn it if that child is involved then the situation is more serious that I thought.

Anxiety slowly creeped into my mind.

Beelzebub.

He’s the boss of this gate. He is also the Final boss. He was the mysterious power who controls everything behind our back. He can command every monster in this damned gate! A crazy man with weak aesthetic sense.

–My master… … want.

The middle head spoke bleakly.

– To meet you.

My mind started thinking about every possiblity. However no matter how many times I think about it. It makes me even more uneasy.

You are reading story You Didn’t Tell Me the Start of My Transmigration Was a Gate at novel35.com

The main goal of this gate was to kill the final boss. So I was bound to meet him in the end. If I don’t come to him and slit his head, the gate will never be cleared. However I didn’t expect that, that creepy guy would be interested in meeting me…

I didn’t think of this possibility at all. Damn it!

Before returning, the person that guy was obsessed with wasn’t me. He’s target used to be…

My Master.

Pyo Hye-won was my mentor. I don’t have to mention more about how her end went… Is this a dead flag?

-He will be waiting…

“Wait a minute. Where is he… waiting?”

I should never go near it.

–Where the sun rises and sets…

“What?”

If you say riddles like that, how the hell can I know? However, Cerberus seemed to have no intention of accepting any objections.

– I said…

“No, you have to tell me exactly where it was..I-”

–My Purpose… Finished…

With his last words, Cerberus was then reduced into ashes which scattered into the air.

It started with its tail, and slowly incinerated its entire body, until it completely turned into ashes, then disappeared with the wind.

It was a very futile end for a D-Class monster.
