Birth of The Nightmare: A Story of the Broken

In this series, there are two, separate stories being told.  One of these stories, that takes place in the present, focuses on a group of characters traversing a post apocalyptic world, where all of the good people are no longer on Earth and, instead, only bad people are.  The other story, takes place in the past, focusing on a woman in her early twenties, who works as a Behavioral Interventionist and struggles with her mental health, daily.  This woman ends up working with a small girl through her work, named Makoto, and this woman's life begins to change in ways she couldn't possibly imagine.  These two, seemingly, different stories are interconnected and trying to piece together how they are makes up a large chunk of this series. This series has a lot of flashbacks, deals with some heavy issues such as mental health, has a slow build-up and is definitely intended for adults.  I know that this series is a bit different than most books on this website but I really hope there are some people, who enjoy reading this.  I am still very new to writing but I will do my best to keep improving over time.  Thank you so much to whoever reads this series and I hope you enjoy it!
