"Okay, so I say yes," I started to say, but Chloe cut me off with a sensual smile.

"You already did," Chloe said as she came over and sat on my lap before running her fingers through my hair and looking at me with a sultry expression on her face. "When you pricked your finger and allowed me to lick the blood off, we formed a blood bond."

"A what now?" I asked, confused because I had never heard of such a thing before.

"A blood bond is a connection between two people that allows them to feel each other's emotions," Chloe explained as she ran her fingers through my hair again while staring deep into my eyes. "It also now seals us together every time you come into a world! I will always be your partner!"

I stared at Chloe for a moment before shaking my head and standing up while setting her on her feet next to me. I seemed to have missed something here.

"What does that mean? While you are beautiful and all that stuff, what do you get out of this?" I asked, starting to feel suspicion creep in, even though it was difficult with Chloe looking at me like that.

"I get to protect you and help you grow stronger!" Chloe exclaimed as she came over and hugged me tightly. "You are the most special person I have ever met, and I want to be with you always!"

I patted her on the head awkwardly before gently pushing her away while trying not to think about how good she felt pressed up against me.

"You are way too cute; stop that. Now, tell me what you get out of this. I may be stupid, but let's give me a little credit," I said, and Chloe sighed.

"I guess it doesn't really matter, but this is my job, just like it is yours. I get a portion of your earnings so I can survive. I am like Aquaria, but I lost my last chance at a world after losing two. I am just trying to survive like you, and now as long as you do good, I get to as well! I am sorry that I didn't explain things, but everyone in the Heaven Realm only looks out for themselves," Chloe explained, and I nodded in understanding.

"So you're just trying to do your job and help me out so we can both survive?" I asked, and Chloe nodded enthusiastically.

"Of course! What else would I want?" she asked, and I chuckled before pulling her into a hug.

It was nice to know that there was at least one person who had my back in this place. I was starting to gather more people that I felt like I could trust, but the last thing that Chloe had said reminded me to keep my guard up slightly. Everyone was looking out for number one in Heaven, so I was going to have to do the same, but it wouldn't hurt to help these two girls and see where things went with Helena.

"All right, I need a shower and some sleep, and then we are going to have to get back on the grind tomorrow. Do you get the same bonus as me, like driving and double experience?" I asked, and Chloe nodded with a big smile.

"Of course! Now, I am going to go take a shower with you," she said as she started to strip out of her clothes, and I thumbed my chin as I gazed over her perfect body.

"I don't know; that seems a little unfair. I have to share my earnings with you, but you get to ogle me in the shower?" I teased as I started to strip out of my clothes as well.

"Oh, trust me," Chloe purred as she came over and hugged me tightly while rubbing her body up against mine. "You will be getting just as much out of this as I will."

I chuckled before kissing her on the forehead and leading her into the bathroom, where we both got cleaned up before crawling into bed together. Even though it was just an act, it still felt nice to have someone in bed with me, even if it was for their own gain.

The next day the two of us got up from the bed, and Chloe got dressed into a black and orange battle costume that looked like it would be easy to move around in a while, still providing some decent protection. I got dressed into my armor as well before checking my inventory to see if there was anything new that I could use.

I had a bunch of new weapons and armor, but nothing really jumped out at me as being game-changing, so I decided to stick with what I had for now. After all, if it wasn't broken, don't fix it, right? The two guns had leveled up to seven with me and did some more damage, but not much else changed.

"How much did you get from killing those monsters last night?" Chloe asked as she went over to the corner where there was a microwave-looking thing above the computer desk.

"Hmm? I never even checked. I had just closed all my notif's last night, but let me check," I said, and called out for my status window that appeared. I went back to my inventory, looked for my Mana, and squinted.

[Total Mana: 428]

"Only four twenty-eight, why?" I asked, but Chloe froze.

"What did you say?" she asked, and I looked at her, confused.

"My Mana? It only went up by four twenty-eight after last night. Is that bad?" I asked, and Chloe turned around slowly with a look of disbelief on her face.

"W-why would your Mana go up by that much when you killed just a few monsters?!" she exclaimed, and I shrugged.

"I don't know. I guess that does sound like a lot, but I did kill a lot while driving. Anyways, that isn't important, what your class is-"

"No! Money is very important! If we have money, we can buy intel! But not yet! We need to find out what caused you to get that much money. Sure they were stronger monsters, but they were really not that strong and not worth that much ever. One hundred Mana would be generous for this!" Chloe exclaimed, but then looked back at the microwave, making a "duh!" sound. "I almost forgot! This is the food generator and why I asked you about Mana! This will make us any food if you have the Mana for it!"

"Really? That's amazing! So, I could make a pizza with just Mana?" I asked, and Chloe nodded.

"As long as you have the Mana for it in your inventory or on your person when you order it," she explained as she went over to the machine. "Now let me show you how this works."

"So, what do I need to do?" I asked as Chloe went over the process of how the machine worked.

"Just put your hand on this panel here, and think about what you want to order," she explained as she showed me where the hand panel was. "It's really that simple."

I nodded before doing as she said and thinking about bacon, eggs, and toast. A few seconds later, a plate with my breakfast appeared on the tray in front of me, and I grinned. This was going to make things a lot easier from now on.

"What about you?" I asked as Chloe went over to the fridge and started pulling out some fruit. "What do you want for breakfast?"

"I am not really that hungry," she said as she turned around and leaned against the counter while eating an apple. "I will just have some fruit."

"Okay," I said before sitting down at the table with my breakfast which actually tasted pretty good considering it was made out of Mana. After eating, we both left the room and started making our way down toward the second storage area that had all the weapons and armor.

We didn't really talk much on the way there, but that was fine with me. I liked Chloe, but I didn't want to get too attached to her since she was just using me to make sure she had a job. Even if that job meant doing things with me sexually, she didn't seem to mind, and I knew that. I knew she was concerned right now, but that would be from trying to figure out how to make more Mana.

"It's true; I am worried about how you got that money," Chloe said, and I looked over at her with shock.

"Did you just read my mind?" I asked, but Chloe giggled at me.

"No, I just felt you thinking about my concern and putting things together. This keeps us from getting into misunderstandings because we will know how the other person feels," Chloe explained and then twirled a finger around in a circle by her head. "It's like being able to read minds, but not really."

I shook my head before looking back at the path in front of me while we continued walking, and after a few minutes, we made it to the second storage area. This one was just as big as the first one, with rows upon rows of shelves that went up at least twenty feet into the air.

"Wow," I muttered as I looked around at all the new weapons and armor that were available now. "There is enough stuff here to outfit an army."

"As you level up, you will have access to all basic weapons, but you can get better stuff from drops. This is just like having a free shop, but each thing in here is the most basic version of each model available to you. It will be like this for us in every world that we are sent down to go hunting, and any Mana spent here stays. That means that this space will always be the same in every world; just the selection and inventory will change," Chloe explained, and I nodded, thumbing my chin.

"Good, then we won't have to keep rebuilding each time. Now, what is your class?" I asked, and Chloe rolled her eyes.

"You always sweat the small stuff!" Chloe giggled, putting her hands and her hips, leaning into me.

"Yes, classes and how we survive are much less important than money. How could I ever forget something so pivotal?" I asked sarcastically, rolling my own eyes, and Chloe laughed, pressing into me and wrapping me in a hug.

"In every world, I will have a supporting class that will fit perfectly with yours. We are supposed to become a perfect killing team, but the world level and player level might be the same as us, but you will learn that the longer a mark stays alive, the harder they are to kill. You should have been able to kill Ace the first time, but your chaos level gave him the upper hand. This time when you try to kill him, it will be much harder, and you will have to get up close and personal to use your trigger. Be very careful when you use that because it burns your chaos fast, and then you need to gain more," Chloe explained, and I sighed.

"So not only do I have to worry about gaining Mana and experience, but now I need to worry about chaos levels too?" I asked, and Chloe nodded.

"Chaos is how your kind survives. Without it, you trigger, and your greatest power is useless," she said gravely before shaking her head. "I am sorry, that was very melodramatic of me."

I chuckled before shrugging my shoulders because it really didn't matter all that much in the grand scheme of things anyways.

"So, what class are you going to be in this world? A healer or something?" I asked, and Chloe giggled.

"No, nothing like that," she said as we started walking down one of the isles, looking at all the weapons and armor. "I am a driver since your class is Mobile Marksman."

"Really? Well, that will make this a hell of a lot better! Do you know how hard it is to drive and shoot a rifle?! Ha! Now we can do some cool shit!" I said with excitement as I scanned over the walls, and Chloe came and hugged my arm.

"Of course! I have been doing this for a long time, and now that we are partners, we will be unstoppable!" she exclaimed with excitement as well before turning back to the shelves. "Now, let's see what you need."
