I ended up taking all the weapons, but that made sense with Chloe's class. She just had to drive, and I would shoot, easy, but this was real game life or something like that, and nothing was ever easy!

I only took on extra because the others were just fine for now. The M16 looked good, and it had a big clip, so my now 75 energy would recharge fast enough to use skills and keep up with my shooting.

[Name: M16]

[Class: Mobile Marksman]

[Type: Rifle]

[Level: 7]

[Attack: 22-27]

[Range: 250m]

[Accuracy: 90%]

[Ammo Cost 150 bullets/20 energy. [Semi-Automatic, 3-round burst, and fully automatic fire modes.]

Once I was done, I turned to Chloe, and she had that look like she had something to say, so I waved for her to continue.

"So, there is one thing about my class, kind of like a quirk for balance, so we don't do some crazy stuff, he he..." Chloe said as she looked away with an uneasy look on her face, using her finger to twirl her hair, and I raised an eyebrow.

"Oh? Well, I just have to roll with the punches at this point, so lay it on me!" I laughed, and Chloe laughed uneasily.

"Well, I attract monsters... so... we will have to fight lots of monsters... by we, I mean you..." Chloe said as she looked away, hopping back and forth from foot to foot.

"Is this it for surprises?" I asked as I facepalmed and ran my hands up through my hair.

"Oh yes! That is everything!"

"There is more, isn't there?"

"I am a complicated person."

I struck my hands up in the air in a "Y" position and turned around, taking a deep breath in. This was for sure to be absolutely fine. Was I able to get gray hairs?

"Chloe, you are a complicated person. You just need to let it out so we can deal with it!" I said as I turned back around to see Chloe nodding her head in agreement.

"Okay! Here is the thing about my class... I can't fight very well..." she said as she looked away from me and wrung her hands together. "My main focus is driving and supporting you in battle."

I sighed deeply before walking over and putting a hand on her shoulder while shaking my head. This girl was something else entirely, but that didn't mean that we couldn't make this work somehow. Even if it meant me doing all the fighting!

"That is fine, and I already assumed that. I will do the fighting; you just need to keep me moving. Is your low level of driving going to affect how you drive a car?" I asked, and Chloe looked away, poking her index fingers together.

"This is actually my first time with one of these steel beasts," Chloe said, still not looking at me.

"What did you just call it?!"

"I am from worlds where there are no... cars, but if there is a carriage or chariot, I could drive that! Do we have one of those?" Chloe asked hopefully, and I took some deep breaths. This was fine. This was for sure fine.

"No, no, we don't have one of those," I said as I turned away from her and started walking towards the garage, but I grabbed her hand. "Come on, let me show you to our steel beast."

"Don't make fun of me!" Chloe complained as we stopped at the garage door. "I just have never had to come to worlds like this, but some things like the food generator are universal for heroes, so I have used them."

"I am not making fun of you, I promise. Now let's go check out the garage!" I said as I opened the door, and we walked into the large space. It was pretty much the same as before, just a few more types, like with the weapons. The black SUV had been replaced with a gray one that looked like it had seen better days. I guess that was what happened if you destroy one, it degrades.

"Woah! That gray one is like what you drove last night, only not as nice," Chloe said as she walked over towards it, running her hand along the body.

"Do you feel like you can drive this?"

"I mean, I could, but I don't really want to be seen in it! We have to keep up our image!" Chloe said, turning to me and stopping me. "We are going to be here for a while. While the files don't say Ace's level, we can learn from the average of others around his rank to go where he does. I think he is level two hundred and five. That means we have some grinding, but we can't stay in the shadows, but I think you should hide your face."

"What do you mean?" I asked as Chloe reached up to touch my face.

"If Ace can't see your face, he won't be able to identify you. I checked just now, and there is nothing saying that you can't wear a mask all the time," Chloe explained, and I reached up to touch my own face, pressing her hand into it, closing my eyes.

This was such a minor thing with everything else, and I hadn't really thought about that part. If Ace was that level, I was going to have to put in some heavy work, but Chloe was also right about not being a hermit.

"A mask, aye? I guess that will just add a bit of mystery to me? Make me more attractive?" I laughed, but then Chloe gave me a serious look.

"To who?" She asked, lifting an eyebrow that suddenly made me feel uneasy.

"To people," I said, but Chloe just gave me a look that said she didn't believe me.

"No, to whom do you want to be attractive too?" She asked plainly, and I smiled.

"Too you!" I laughed, and suddenly all the tension left.

"Great! Okay, now what about that car?!" Chloe asked, pointing at a mustang convertible, but I felt like I had just averted a great crisis. Looks like that was another spicy little tidbit about this girl. The way she could just look at me, and I knew what was wrong, was pretty uncanny and something that I was going to have to get used to.

I ended up taking the convertible, mainly because Chloe said it would look better to have a nicer car. I wasn't sure how long this whole thing was going to take, but I was just hoping that we wouldn't get too attached to things in this world. It seemed like things could change at the drop of a hat, and I didn't want anything bad happening to Chloe because of me.

"Okay, just take it slow at first and stick to the residential areas until you get used to it," I explained as Chloe sat in the driver's seat, but the moment that she sat down, her eyes glowed green.

"I have to go through a driving course; well, there are a few to pick from. Which do you think I should pick?" Chloe asked, but I couldn't see her menu.

"I can't see. Just read to me what they are," I suggested, but Chloe shook her head.

"That will take too long! I'll just pick the first one... ATV training... Done! It says that this vehicle is not recommended for this test but that it will work with the special upgrades that it is getting now. It recommends that we both put on the safety belts to ensure a... that can't be right," Chloe said as she tapped the screen that I couldn't see.

"What does it say?! WHY DID YOU PICK ATV?!" I roared, and Chloe winced.

"All Type Vehicles?"

"All Terrain Vehicles!"

"What is that? Does this not go on all terrain?!" Chloe asked as the car was being upgraded under us.

"Now it does! What did your thing say?!" I asked in frustration.

"That we will be sure to die a quick death, rather than being thrown from the car and mauled or run over by the monsters around the testing area," Chloe said like the words sounded strange even to her as she spoke them.

"Yeah, we are going to die. Even your system thinks so," I said, shaking my head, and then sighed. "At least there will be monsters."

"Yeah, lots of them, 'cause, you know, I attract them," Chloe said, putting her hands together and smiling cutely, and I just stared at her for a long moment before I leaned in to kiss her.

"I think you are going to be the death of me, but not today. Let's go, Beautiful, you have a test, and I need to grind to get us closer to hitting our target!" I sighed as I crossed my arms behind my head, and the garage door opened.

Just another chaotic day in my life.
