"That is exactly what happened to us, and Chloe got chased around. You might actually be able to help with this. There was a big mecha dog that attacked Chloe, but we can find nothing about it. Do you know what that might be? There was also a shadow dog mini bossy and a bunch of metal knife throwing Pigmy's."
Ace gave me a worried look that made me frown, but my mask kept my depression hidden as I waited to see what he said.
"That sounds a lot like a Reaver Hound, but they are level fifty-five. you can't tell me that you two beat that thing alone, right?!" Ace almost demanded, leaning toward me, making me lean back in shock.
"No, of course not. Mad Max beat them himself alone! I am just his driver, but now he says that-"
"I think that we should leave, Ace. I am suddenly not feeling that hungry," Grace said, cutting Chloe off and making Ace frown.
"We have been waiting a week to get into this place, and it was your idea to come! Plus, I want to hit the club up after this! Come on, Gracy, we met some cool new people, and they can join us!" Ace complained, but Grace looked directly at me.
"I think that this one is going to become our competition in the very near future. I do not think that it is wise to make friends with a Trigger like that," Grace said, and my blood ran cold. I had thought that there was something familiar with that feeling, and now I knew why.
Grace was the Dark Goddess sent here to try to kill Ace herself in competition with Helena. That meant that she was feeding him with Chaos, and getting into his pants was a good place to do it from.
"Sure, but even our party members will be the same one day as we rise through the ranks. I think that you are right, and very soon, Chloe and Mad Max here will be close to our level. I think it might be good to make friends with them, and we can get help from them when the time comes. You can't say that we have hit a wall, right? Neither of us has leveled in a while, and the rest of the party is the same, but we don't have the Combat Power to get into the next area with the people we have," Ace explained, and I didn't like where this was going.
"So what?! You want to leave our team and go help power level these two nobodies?!" Grace demanded, but I could see a small smile creeping on Chloe's face that made me sick to my stomach.
"You would help us?! I think that would be a really good idea! Not to brag, but Mad Max is really good at finding the special dungeon loot!" Chloe exclaimed, and I thought I might puke as my nerves started to get to me. What was this girl thinking?!
Thankfully, a waiter showed up to take their order, giving me a bit of breathing time as I glared at Chloe, but I could feel her satisfaction. This girl was trying to get us killed; I knew it!
"I actually think that it is a good idea. We have been staying away from dungeons, but we can do some lower-level dungeons around 100 to get your levels up faster. There are no rules against it, but most high-level players are only concerned about themselves, so it doesn't happen often. There is also the fact that you would do as much damage, and the monsters would do much more to you. Are you still sure that you want to come?" Ace asked, turning back to me after placing Grace and his order.
"It sounds like fun! What do you think, Chloe? I am really getting excited about this!" I asked, trying my best to sound enthused.
Ace and Grace both frowned as they looked at me before turning back to look at each other while Chloe giggled a little bit under her breath.

I was actually getting worried about what she was going to say next when Ace's phone went off, making him frown as he reached into his pocket and pulled it out before looking at the screen with a huff.
"Is everything alright?" Grace asked with a raised eyebrow as she watched Ace's face turning redder by the second as he glared down at his phone screen before stuffing it back into his pocket and standing up from the table abruptly.
"We have to go," He said shortly before bowing slightly toward us and offering his hand to Grace. "Micheal is causing trouble again, and there is a herd of Mecha Cats chasing him, but he is headed for a safe zone like an idiot. We need to get out there, or we are going to get another fine."
"Wait! Do you need help?!" Chloe asked, hopping up from her seat, making Ace loom at her and then me.
"You have your food coming, and these are level 146 Dual Form Mecha Cats. I don't know if it is wise," Ace said as Grace tried to drag him away.
"No! This is a perfect time to show you what we can do! We can get something to eat after! This is a chance to forge the bond you were talking about, right?!" Chloe demanded, and everyone in the restaurant turned to look at our group.
"Well, I can't say we don't need the help, but we aren't responsible if you get hurt or worse, okay?" Ace asked, and Chloe nodded, grabbing my hand and dragging me out of our seat as our food was coming out, and I stopped her.
"Fine, we will be right behind you, but I am getting this food to go!" I demanded, and Ace laughed.
"See you on the battlefield, Mad Max!" Ace called as Grace dragged him out of the restaurant. The moment they were out, I pulled Chloe close to me.
"What in the hell are you thinking, you crazy little woman?!" di demanded in a harsh whisper, but Chloe looked up at me with a serious look.
"You felt that right. Grace is not a human, she is a dark goddess, and she is sleeping with your mark. You know what that means, right? It is only a matter of time until she has built up enough Chaos. We need to be close to him from now on and prevent him from getting killed!"
"What?! I am supposed to kill him, but now I have to keep him alive?!" I demanded, but then asked the waiter in a normal voice to box our food quickly and for the check.
"Yes! You have to be the one that is responsible for his death. If not, then Grace will get his soul for her new world! You have to make sure he doesn't die unless it is you killing him or you are part of the cause!" Chloe explained, and I slapped my hand on my face as I dragged it down with a long groan.
