I left the room with a bitter taste in my mouth. As if life hadn't been hard enough before, I was constantly trying to avoid danger, and now I had pissed off an unknown goddess and the head honcho, Zeus. That was what I assumed he was since, in Greek mythology, he was the king of the gods.
I was in a world of shit and had no idea how to get out of it.
"Halberd?"
I looked up to see a beautiful creature like nothing I had ever seen before. Her skin was a deep blue, and she had long white hair that flowed down her back. Her eyes were bright green, and she had a slim physique. She was wearing what looked like a one-piece bathing suit that left little to the imagination.
"Yes?" I asked, and the creature smiled brightly at me.
"I am Aquaria, and I have decided to help you," she said, and my brow furrowed.
"Help me with what?" I asked, and Aquaria chuckled softly as she took my hand in hers before leading me out of the office building.
"Well, you don't have a place, right? And you have also made some people mad, and you are poor?" Aquaria asked, and I winched. Hurt a bit more when something as beautiful as the woman holding my hand said it.
"Yeah, I guess you could say that," I muttered, and Aquaria smiled brightly.
"Well, don't worry! I will help you with all of that!" She chirped, and I couldn't help but wonder what she was up to. The rest of the people had either forced me to do things or treated me with little coincidence. I decided that I would stay on my guard for now but not be rude.
Aquaria led me to a large building, and we walked inside. The first thing that I noticed was how nice it looked on the inside. It looked like a five-star hotel or something.
"This is where you will be staying from now on!" Aquaria said as she led me to a room, and my eyes widened when I saw how nice it was. It was better than my old apartment by a long shot.
"T-thank you," I said, and Aquaria smiled brightly at me before kissing my cheek.
"You are welcome! Now, get some rest; you have a big day tomorrow!" She said before leaving the room and closing the door behind her.
I just stood there in shock for a few moments before finally coming to my senses. What had just happened?
Everything had just seemed like it was trying to knock me down, but I had just walked a few blocks, entered this fantastic room, and then was kissed by a beautiful woman. Yet, not a single accident or bad thing happened, and she had said I was going to have a big day tomorrow? My level of confusion at this point peaked, but I took a deep breath and looked around the room.
The first thing I noticed was how big it was. Then I saw the king-sized bed in the middle of the room, and my eyes widened. This place must have cost a fortune, and she just gave it to me out of nowhere?
I quickly walked over to the bed and collapsed on it. I was tired, both mentally and physically, from everything that had happened today, so I decided to just close my eyes for a bit. Maybe when I woke up, this would all have been a dream.

I woke up the next day feeling well-rested for once in what felt like forever. The sun was shining through the window, casting a warm glow on everything in the room. I stretched my arms above my head before yawning loudly as I sat up in bed and rubbed my eyes with my hands.
When I opened them again, everything still looked normal except for one thing; sitting on the edge of my bed was Aquaria with a tray of food in her hands.
"Good morning!" She chirped as she handed me the tray, and my stomach grumbled loudly at that moment.
It seemed like forever since I had eaten something that wasn't out of a can or microwaveable container, so this smelled amazing!
I quickly took the tray from her before setting it down on my lap and digging in hungrily with both hands.
"Woah there, slow down! You don't want to make yourself sick!" Aquaria said with a chuckle, but I just waved her off.
"I'm fine, trust me. I haven't eaten anything this good in forever," I said between bites, and Aquaria just smiled.
"I am glad you like it! I made it myself," she said proudly, and my eyes widened.
"You can cook?" I asked incredulously, and Aquaria nodded.
"Of course! What kind of woman do you take me for?" She asked playfully as she sat down next to me on the bed and watched me eat.
As I ate, my mind couldn't help but wonder what her deal was? Why was she being so nice to me? Was she just trying to get into my pants or something? But if that was the case, why not just make a move instead of playing coy like this?
"So, what is your deal?" I asked after I had finished the food and set the tray aside. "Why are you being so nice to me?"
Aquaria just chuckled softly as she leaned over and kissed me lightly on the lips. "Let's just say that I have a good feeling about you," she said before getting up from the bed.
"I will leave you to get dressed; we have a lot to do today!" Aquaria said with a smile before walking out of the room and closing the door behind her.
I just sat there for a few moments in silence as I processed everything that had just happened before finally shaking my head and getting out of bed. It looked like my day was going to be interesting, to say the least.
