Looking around, I spotted new clothes, but my old ones were gone. I guessed that she must have gotten rid of them while I was asleep. The new clothes were a black shirt and pants with a white jacket. It wasn't anything too fancy, but it would do.
I quickly got dressed before walking out of the room and down the hall. I had no idea where I was going, but Aquaria said that we had things to do, so I figured she would lead the way.
As soon as I walked out of the room, Aquaria was there waiting for me with a smile on her face. "Good! Come on; we have a lot to do today!" She said before turning around and walking away, and I just shook my head before following her.
"What are we doing today?" I asked, scratching the back of my head, "I didn't know I had to do anything until I got sent back."
Aquaria just chuckled softly as she led me out of the building and down the street. "Well, that is where you are wrong! You see, I have been watching you, and I know that you have been through a lot lately," Aquaria explained as we walked.
"So, I figured that today we could just relax and have some fun!" She said with a bright smile, and my brow furrowed. Relax? Have fun? What was she talking about?
I didn't know how to relax or have fun anymore; it had been so long since I had done anything like that. The last time I could remember having any real fun was...
" Halberd?" Aquaria said, and I snapped out of my thoughts to see her looking at me with a concerned expression on her face. "Are you alright? You looked like you were somewhere else just now," she said, and I shook my head.
"No, I am fine. Just lost in thought, is all," I said with a forced smile, and Aquaria just nodded before turning around and continuing to walk.
We didn't talk much after that as we walked around the city; instead, we just enjoyed each other's company. It was a nice change of pace from everything that had been happening lately.
Eventually, we made our way to a large park, and my eyes widened when I saw how many people were there. "Why are there so many people here?" I asked as we found a spot to sit down on the grass, and Aquaria shrugged.
"This is one of the most popular parks in the city; everyone comes here to relax or have some fun," she explained, and my brow furrowed as I looked around at all the people. These were not ordinary people; they were all gods, deities, and other astral beings. The scene was mind-boggling.
"But why would they want to come here?" I asked, and Aquaria chuckled softly.
"Well, some of them are just here to relax and have some fun like me, but others come here because they are looking for something," she explained, and my brow furrowed.
"What are they looking for?" I asked curiously, and Aquaria shrugged.
"Who knows? Love? Adventure? Maybe they just need a change of pace," she said with a shrug before lying down on the grass and closing her eyes.
I just sat there for a few moments as I watched her before lying down next to her and closing my eyes. It had been so long since I had just relaxed like this; it felt nice.

"You said that you have a good feeling about me. What did you mean by that?" I asked, and Aquaria just chuckled softly.
"I can't tell you that yet; it would ruin the surprise," she said, and I just sighed.
"Fine, but I am going to hold you to that," I said, and Aquaria just laughed softly before taking my hand in hers and interlocking our fingers.
"I promise," she said, and we just lay there in silence for a while as my thoughts wandered.
What was Aquaria's deal? Why was she being so nice to me? I still couldn't wrap my head around it, but I decided that I would just enjoy it while it lasted. It was nice to have someone be nice to me for once without wanting anything in return.
Eventually, we got up and walked around the park for a while before making our way back to the apartment building. As we walked, I couldn't help but notice how many people were looking at us and whispering to each other. It was starting to make me feel a bit uneasy.
"Aquaria, why are all these people looking at us?" I asked as we made our way into the building, and she just shrugged.
"I am not sure; maybe they are just jealous," she said with a chuckle, but I didn't find it funny. These people were making me feel uncomfortable.
"Can't you make them stop?" I asked as we made our way up to my room, and Aquaria just shook her head with a sad expression on her face.
"I wish I could, but they will eventually get bored and move on." She said as she opened the door to my room, and my brow furrowed.
"Why are they like this? Aren't they supposed to be gods or something?" I asked, and Aquaria sighed as she walked over to me and wrapped her arms around me in a comforting hug.
"It is complicated," she said softly before pulling away from me and walking towards the door. "I will leave you alone for now; you must be tired from today." She said before walking out of the room and closing the door behind her.
I was left feeling more confused than ever about what was going on in this place. These people were supposed to be gods, yet they were acting more like children. It didn't make any sense to me.
I sighed as I walked over to the bed and collapsed on it. I was tired, but I was far from ready to go to bed. It was hardly lunch, and I wanted to try and talk to some of the other people.
They couldn't all hate me, or that was what I hoped. Life was becoming stranger than fiction.
