(Sample of Chapter 0)
----December 23rd, 2056-----Earth #0712------
--During the cold month of December, in the capital of the Union--
People strutted across the street, their minds filled with anticipation and joy for the upcoming holiday. The skyscrapers within the city showed images of presents, snow, and neatly decorated trees, while snow lightly fell from the night sky, blanketing the city with a layer of snow.
Families looked out the windows of their apartments, the children's faces glowing with excitement as they watched the snow fall from the sky; as they found it harder to wait for Christmas Day.
Within a small building, sitting on a fairly quiet street, away from all of the lights that came from the decorated areas; were two men, surrounded by lab equipment, staring at a computer screen. "These fluctuations-- They are unlike anything I have seen so far..." said a skinny, red-haired male, while pushing his glasses upwards.
"What if it gets too high?" said a large man, who wore a nice grey suit, with short, black hair.
"I-I don't exactly know... It could be an atomic-level e-explosion-- or.. something even worse..." The red hair male explained, biting his nails.
"Worse? Explain." The large man asked, his anxiety growing, though he didn't show.
"I-It's not a complete theory yet... B-But hear me out-- I believe it might rip a tear in the fabric of space itself..."
"What...? Wh--" The large man said, getting cut off by the red-haired individual.
"I-I know, I-I know, It seems crazy... but from what we have analyzed about Mana, is that it has control over most elements... and using that I---" The red-haired man explained, before getting cut off.
"Damn it! just listen, Adam!" the man yelled, making Adam jump.
