Casey describes herself as the "golden child" of her family. Growing up in a small town has been a soul sucking experience, but she has been carefully working at her plan to escape. As the beginning of her freshman year of college approaches she is finally relieved of her old life and is ready to start her adulthood as a blank canvas. Things at South Redwood University are so much different and more exciting than she could have imagined, but soon things start to take a turn for the worst and she is forced to make a devastating decision and potentially throw away everything she has worked so hard to accomplish.
