Would you take another chance at life if given the opportunity? Would you still do it if the one offering gave off a sinister presence?

This is a story about someone who did just that and immediately regretted the decision.

Upon awaking in his, now her, new body, our MC found themselves a slave in both body and soul to an evil mage raising an army using foul magics to raise an army of near immortal golems. With no other choice, our MC trains as an assassin and is resigned to have to kill the enemies of their master. But a chance encounter during an attack gives our hero an opportunity. One that allows for her freedom. But what will she do with this freedom? With golem hunters searching for golem spies, an unfortunate appearance, and our hero's terrible social skills, and an evil mage that is less than happy at her freedom, what will she do? Where will she go in an unfamiliar world filled with other with just as much unsavory ambition as the one who summoned her? Will she seek to become human? Get stronger and help free those enslaved like her? Or hide some place far away and enjoy her second chance at life?
