Untold Prophecies

The world is in ruin. Thirty years ago the society was destroyed by the apocalypse we could not have predicted. We thought we knew everything about the underground. But then, giant holes in the ground opened, from a few meters in diameter, to hundreds of them, in diameter. Someone called them Jaws of Death, and it stuck. But then, three years after the first few Jaws of Death opened, the first SS+ class had opened. And the gods overlooking our world took pity on us. One had decided to send to our planet statues, granting us abilities, magic, altering the form of some of us. They gained the permission of the other gods to send out more statues, giving us more abilities, powers, spells, and more possible form alteration. Throughout twenty seven years, humanity had learned extreme amounts of information about magic, giving them technologies, and things you would expect from a video game. Some people however dissapeares without a trace in the first year of our apocalypse. I wonder what happened to them...
