Self-critical painter Kei is an artist who doesn’t believe in having a muse. In Kei’s eyes an artist with a muse is an artist surrendering to an eternity of misery, destined to only paint one thing for the rest of their lives. He promised himself he would never fall into the trap. After a stern talk with Kei’s professor, he comes to realize his work is uninspired and lacking emotion. Kei was prepared to spend the rest of his life an unknown artist, as long as it meant he didn’t succumb to the torment that was falling for a muse.
Kei managed to keep this promise to himself until the day Jens signed up to be a nude model in his figure study class. Jens’ intense eyes and plain-as-day emotions both enticed and disgusted Kei. To Kei, Jens appeared to be nothing but a cocky, rude, too handsome, somewhat stupid, but also stupidly eye catching, nuisance. During a risqué class in which Jens shows a little too much of his big personality, Kei realizes drawing Jens is the only way to give his paintings the emotion they need. He had found his muse, and he hates it.
To Jens, Kei was an arrogant, pretty, but also pretty cold, art snob. So when Kei reaches out to him first, he decides to play along and see where it takes him. Now the model, and muse, of a flighty nervous wreck; Jens learns to navigate the whirlwind of Kei’s emotions. How will a loud, confident and charming muse survive the cold, anti-social disdain of his artist?
