Dictatorship and Other Hurtful Labels

I am not a dictator.
Despite what others might claim, I do not oppress my citizens nor do I hold absolute power over every aspect of their daily lives like everyone seems to believe.
Sure the 24-hour surveillance might seem a bit overbearing, but you don’t understand. It's all done for their own safety.
I love every one of my children very much and it hurts me when foreigners look at our society and instantly label me as a dictator.
It's only been a couple of years since we left isolation and every new 'scandal' makes me regret making contact with the awful outside world.
I am honestly not a dictator.
