In a town no one remembers in a state most ignore former e-sports gamer Em is doing everything they can to escape the memories of their former life. When the cute trans barista they had befriended finally gets the courage to ask them on a date this seems like the perfect opportunity. Reality is rarely that kind though as they quickly learn when the monster’s they’ve tried to bury suddenly reappear and Em is forced to confront what they’ve been seeking to ignore for the hope of finding love once more.

Author's Note: Hide0us_Replica is a queer romance and psychological thriller novel I've been writing for the last two years. Partially to get more attention to it (posting it on Amazon hasn't done much) and also to add more content to my Patreon I decided to start posting it here chapter to chapter. You don't have to worry about this being dropped midway as the entire novel is already written and self-edited. I'll post the first 5 chapters initially and then the rest will be posted two chapters a week on Monday. I'm looking forward to hearing feedback from everyone. I know this isn't the traditional type of novel for this site but I hope you all will be receptive to it anyways.

Addm: The story is very slight near future, which functionally only means that the game all the protagonist play is a full dive VR headset with haptic feedback. It's not enough that I feel comfortable including the 'sci-fi' genre tag I just didn't want readers to be confused when they see it. (cover is a temp deviantart picture till I get home and can get the actually cover photo I used for the book)
