Conqueror of the Abyss

“Two Heroes, one from a famed family, the other a kind child who has a normal, if not bland life. However, disaster will befall these two in the year 1251 of the Ederian calendar. One will repel the disaster and grow stronger, but the other will lose everything he or she has to it.
Fate will bring these two together. They will shake the foundation of the world to its core and be the first to conquer the Abyss. Then, they will live happily ever after.”

“Soothsayer… Isn’t that basically the prophecy that everyone knew?”

“That's where the problem lies. The Gods have changed the prophecy in a way that made it… extremely vague. The texts that detailed how they will conquer the Abyss and live happily ever after were… erased, gone without a trace.”

"I- It can't be...!"

"But it's the truth. Alert every nation allied with us. Advise them to prepare their military forces instead of hoping to rely on the Heroes. Only the Gods can– no, only we can save ourselves now.”

While pandemonium ensued in the Tower of prophecy, a certain 10-year-old child appeared out of nowhere in the middle of a forest. If it wasn't for the scar that ran from his neck to his right cheek, his face would have been spotless. After a few seconds of groaning and clutching his jade-green hair in pain, he suddenly shot his bright red eyes open and looked around frantically.

"H- Huh? I escaped...?"

Now free from the 'white hell', will he be the first to conquer the Abyss and have a wish bestowed on him by the Gods? And, if he succeed, will he use it to fulfill his greatest desire of reviving his loved ones, or will he use it for revenge?
