Through a twist of fate, author Paul Holmes has inherited an abandoned Shinto Temple on a mountain in rural japan. Seeking peace and quiet in which to work, he decides to travel there and check it out.

Unknownest to him the temple isn't all that abandoned. Creatures and Spirits out of Japanese mythology call it home and want to be left alone to live in peace.

But the temple and it's mountain are under threat. Both from the slow fading of magic and developers who want to strip-mine the mountain.

Now Paul must use all his wits and guile to save it and it's wondrous inhabitants from the real monsters ... the humans. Because in this unlikeliest of places Paul has found the one thing he didn't know he was looking for. A place to call Home.
